Archive Node // ORIGIN-SYSTEM-PRIMER

Origin System Archive Entry

From the drifting carcasses of Orokin towers to the gas-sheathed storms of Jupiter, the Origin System is a patchwork of lost civilisations, weaponised industry and unfinished wars. As a newly awakened Tenno, this codex delivers your first stable frame of reference.

Each world, station and derelict hides specific mission types, resource veins and threats. Your Warframe, Weapons, Mods and Companions form a living Loadout that adapts to this complexity. Use this archive as a launchpad: cross-link Missions, Quests, factions and builds as you explore.

Recommended for new Tenno

Start with Earth, Mars and Venus for early resource loops, core Mods and basic Squad play. As your Mastery Rank grows, expand into higher-level nodes and narrative Quests.

Starmap Interface: Navigating the Origin System

The Origin System starmap is your primary interface for discovery. Each planet, moon and outpost reveals nodes tied to specific Missions, factions and story beats. Treat it as both navigation tool and tactical forecast.

  • Nodes

Individual Missions with fixed level ranges, enemy factions and rewards. Clearing them unlocks new paths, Junctions and Quests.

  • Faction Territories

Colour-coded control zones highlight Grineer, Corpus, Infested, Sentient and Syndicate influence. Expect different enemy behaviours, resistances and loot tables.

  • Derelicts & Alerts

High-risk nodes, temporary events and mysterious locations. These often demand tuned Loadouts, agile parkour and coordinated Squads.

Warframe Shells

Your Interface With The Origin System

Warframes are biomechanical exoshells channelling the power of the Tenno. Each frame alters how you navigate the Origin System – mobility, crowd control, survivability and squad support.

Mobility & parkour

Frames with speed, teleports or aerial control thrive in vertical tilesets and timed Missions. Pair them with movement Mods to dominate parkour routes.

Control & defence

Defence-focused frames excel in objectives and choke points, letting your Squad manage endless Missions and high-pressure zones.

Burst & crowd damage

Offensive frames clear clustered enemies and elite targets quickly, accelerating progression through tougher Origin System regions.

Mission Briefing: Core Objectives & Regions

Each node in the Origin System combines an enemy faction, a mission type and a tileset. Understanding these layers early lets you choose the right Loadouts, Squad roles and Mods.

Objective Archetypes

  • Survival & Defence

Endless Missions pressure your resources and positioning. Prioritise crowd control, area damage and sustain-focused frames.

  • Capture & Rescue

High-mobility Warframes, precise Weapons and agile parkour shine in timed runs through sprawling tilesets.

  • Spy & Sabotage

Stealth tools, noise control and familiarity with level layouts reward clean, alarm-free completions.

Regional Progression

Phase I // Awakening Route

Earth and Venus introduce Grineer militarism and Corpus industry. Node levels remain forgiving while you learn core Abilities and Mods.

Phase II // Solar Expansion

Mars, Ceres and Jupiter raise enemy durability and variety. The System expects tuned builds, coordinated Squads and more deliberate crafting.

Phase III // High-Risk Sectors

Late-game planets, derelicts and special regions demand specialised Loadouts, optimised Mods and deep knowledge of faction weaknesses.

Factions Report: Powers in Conflict

The Origin System is not empty. It is carved up by factions born from Orokin excess, industrial ambition and adaptive infestation. Every Mission drops you into their disputes.

Faction: Grineer Threat: High Attrition

Grineer Empire

Clone legions with heavy armour and direct firepower. Expect aggressive tactics, suppression fire and environmental control in narrow corridors and open fields alike.

CounterplayArmour stripping, crowd control, vertical parkour.

Faction: Corpus Threat: Tech Superiority

Corpus Conglomerate

Profit-driven technocrats backed by drones, shields and energy tools. They punish careless positioning and reward precise target priority.

CounterplayShield disruption, status damage, mobility.

Faction: Infested Threat: Close-Quarters

Infested Strains

Mutagenic swarms overwhelming objectives through numbers and proximity. Ideal grounds for testing area-of-effect Abilities and sustain builds.

CounterplayArea denial, crowd clearing, defensive Warframes.

Faction: Sentients Threat: Adaptive

Sentient Incursions

Ancient adaptive constructs built to counter Orokin warfare. Few in number, high in consequence. Build diversity and focused Squad roles matter most here.

CounterplayMix damage types, coordinate Squad Abilities.

First Contact File // TENNO-AWAKENING

First Contact: Awakening of the Tenno

The first memories are rarely whole. Shattered Orokin vault logs, scattered visual imprints and half-corrupted transmissions hint at a deliberate forgetting. The Tenno do not awaken; they are recalled.

Fragmented Origin

Somewhere between the end of the Old War and the present, Tenno consciousness was sealed away. The Origin System you return to is not the one you left.

Vault records reference a final stand, uncontrolled Void exposure and Warframes behaving as both armour and anchor. The Orokin response is partially classified, but the result is clear: Tenno locked in stasis, Warframes dormant, the System left to fracture.

Your awakening reactivates dormant alliances, long-running conflicts and forgotten obligations. Each Quest you undertake is both a story beat and a recovery of your own history.

Origin System Landscapes: Worlds to Discover

Beyond the mission briefings and faction dossiers, the Origin System is defined by atmosphere. Every landscape shapes your parkour routes, line of sight, and how your Squad moves as one.

Earth // Ruins & Underbrush

Dense foliage, vertical ruins and natural cover support hit-and-run tactics. Great for learning movement, stealth approaches and objective awareness.

Jupiter // Gas Platforms

Storm-wrapped industrial platforms hung in gas giant clouds. Expect multi-layer parkour, shifting sight lines and Corpus defences.

Outer Regions // Void-Touched

Derelicts and distant installations distort movement and visibility. Here, your understanding of Mods, Abilities and Squad roles is truly tested.
