Privacy Policy – Origin System Codex

Game World Post operates the Origin System Codex, a cinematic, fan-made Warframe intelligence archive hosted at https://gameworldpost.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information when you access or interact with this portal, including browsing lore entries, reviewing Warframe builds, exploring missions, or contacting the maintainers.

Within this context, references to “we”, “us”, or “our” mean Game World Post as operator of the Origin System Codex. References to “you” or “your” mean visitors and Tenno accessing the site from Australia or any other region.

This policy outlines:

• what information is collected when you access the archive
• how that information is logged, protected and retained
• how cookies and tracking technologies are used to optimise performance
• circumstances in which data may be shared with trusted service providers
• your rights and choices under applicable Australian privacy expectations

By using this site, you acknowledge that this is a fan-made Warframe resource and you consent to the handling of information described in this Privacy Policy, as updated from time to time.

We collect a limited set of information when you interface with the Origin System Codex. This information is grouped into non-personal analytics and technical data and information you voluntarily submit.

Non-personal analytics and technical data

When you browse the archive, our systems and analytics tools may automatically log:

• standard web log data such as pages visited, time spent, and navigation paths between sections like Codex, Origin, Warframes, Weapons and Missions
• approximate location based on IP address (for example, that a visitor is accessing from Australia) used in aggregate for audience insights
• device and browser information, including operating system, screen resolution and performance characteristics, to help us optimise readability across desktop, console browsers and mobile devices
• referring URLs and outbound link clicks, such as when you move from a build guide to another internal section or follow a social media link

This information is generally processed in aggregated or pseudonymised form and is not used to identify you personally.

Information you voluntarily provide

Certain interactions involve you choosing to provide information, such as:

• Contact transmissions sent via the archive terminal at Contact Us, including your name or alias, email address and message content
• Newsletter subscriptions or similar updates, where you may submit an email address to receive new Warframe builds, Quests coverage or Origin System features
• Community feedback you provide, such as suggestions about Warframe guides, faction intel or lore timelines, if submitted through forms or email

Where we request personal details, we aim to keep the fields minimal and clearly marked as required or optional.

Sensitive information

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health, biometric or financial data) through this portal. Please do not include sensitive information in contact messages or other submissions.

Information collected through the Origin System Codex is processed for legitimate purposes connected to operating and improving this Warframe fan archive. In particular, we use data to:

Enhance the archive experience

• monitor how Tenno move between sections such as Abilities, Builds and Quests to refine navigation and content structure
• identify popular Warframes, Weapons, Missions and Origin System locations to prioritise future guides, lore entries and Top 10 features
• optimise layouts, typography and performance for different devices, ensuring fast, readable access to long-form guides

Maintain security and integrity

• log activity patterns that may indicate abusive behaviour, such as repeated failed form submissions or suspected automated scraping
• protect the archive against spam, unauthorised access attempts and other threats
• support debugging and quality assurance when technical issues arise

Communicate with Tenno visitors

• respond to enquiries submitted via the Contact Us page
• send optional newsletters or update dispatches when you have opted in, such as new “Top 10 Warframes for Different Playstyles” or “Best 10 Loadout Ideas for New Tenno” features
• provide important notices about changes to this Privacy Policy, Cookies or archive operations

We do not use your information to create third‑party marketing profiles, nor do we align it with unrelated advertising ecosystems.

The Origin System Codex uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to keep the archive running smoothly and to understand how visitors engage with different intel clusters.

Types of cookies we may use

• Essential cookies that enable core portal functions, such as remembering cookie preferences and ensuring basic security features work as intended
• Performance and analytics cookies that help us understand aggregated behaviour, such as which Warframe guides attract attention, which routes through the Origin System diagrams are most frequently explored, and which articles may need refinement
• Preference cookies that may remember choices such as preferred display options, if such features are implemented

Third-party analytics

We may use third-party analytics providers to gain insight into site usage, always with the aim of improving content and usability. These providers may set their own cookies or similar identifiers to measure traffic patterns and performance.

Managing your cookie settings

You can manage cookies in several ways:

• through any cookie banner or controls provided on the site, including links from the Cookie Policy
• by adjusting your browser settings to block, limit or delete cookies from this domain
• by using browser tools to send Do Not Track or similar signals, which we will honour where technically feasible and reasonable

Please note that disabling certain cookies may limit functionality or impact how smoothly some archive features operate.

We treat your information as sensitive Tenno intel and handle it accordingly. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal data to third parties.

Trusted service providers

We may share limited information with carefully selected third parties who support the operation of this portal, such as:

• hosting and infrastructure providers that keep the archive online
• analytics services that process aggregate usage data
• email service providers that help deliver contact responses or newsletter transmissions

These providers are engaged under terms requiring them to:

• use the information only for the purpose of providing their service to us
• apply appropriate security and confidentiality protections
• comply with applicable data protection requirements

Legal and safety obligations

We may disclose information where we reasonably believe it is necessary to:

• comply with applicable laws, regulations or valid legal processes in Australia or other jurisdictions
• protect the rights, property or safety of Game World Post, our users, or the wider community
• respond to security incidents, suspected misuse, or technical threats to the archive

If such a disclosure is required, we aim to limit it to the minimum scope that is reasonably necessary.

We treat visitor data as if it were a classified Tenno archive. While no digital system can be completely secure, we implement technical and organisational measures intended to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

Security measures

Depending on the nature of the data, our controls may include:

• Encryption in transit using HTTPS/TLS to secure communications between your device and our servers
• Network segmentation and strict access limitations so that only authorised maintainers can access operational systems
• Hardened infrastructure with regular updates, security patches and configuration reviews
• Audit-style monitoring of logs to detect unusual patterns, failed access attempts or other suspicious behaviour
• Data minimisation to ensure we collect and retain only what we reasonably need for the purposes described in this policy

Retention periods

We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or as otherwise required by law. In practice, this means:

• analytics data is typically stored in aggregate or pseudonymised form for trend analysis over time
• contact transmissions are stored for as long as reasonably required to manage your enquiry, maintain appropriate records and improve the archive
• newsletter or communication preferences are retained while you remain subscribed or until you request deletion

Where Australian privacy standards or other applicable laws specify minimum or maximum retention periods, we aim to align our practices with those guidelines.

As an Australian visitor, or a visitor accessing the site from another region, you may have rights relating to how your personal information is handled. Subject to applicable law and verification, these may include the ability to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you in a reasonable, structured format
• Request correction of inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information associated with your contact or subscription details
• Request erasure of certain information where it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, or where you withdraw relevant consent
• Withdraw consent for specific processing activities, such as marketing-style emails, where our processing is based on your consent
• Opt out of certain tracking by adjusting cookie preferences or browser-level controls, as outlined in the Cookies section and the Cookie Policy

To exercise these rights, please submit a request via the in-archive contact terminal at Contact Us. Include sufficient detail to help us identify you (for example, the email address used for subscription) and clearly state the action you are requesting.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling some requests, particularly where disclosure or modification of information is involved. This helps maintain the integrity of the archive and protect your privacy.

Contacting the Codex maintainers

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, concerns about how your information is handled, or wish to make a privacy-related request, you can reach the maintainers via the Contact Us page. Please include “Privacy” or “Data Request” in your subject line where possible.

Policy changes and notifications

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the archive, legal requirements, or our data handling practices. When we do:

• the updated version will be posted at https://gameworldpost.com/privacy-policy/
• the “last updated” reference within our legal or archive update logs will be adjusted
• where changes are material, we may provide additional notice, such as a banner, notice in relevant sections like Codex or Origin, or an email to subscribed Tenno

Your continued use of the Origin System Codex after any updates have taken effect will be taken as acknowledgement of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how your information is protected within this fan-made Warframe archive.
